Telegram integration application

Overview

Zoom’s Telegram App lets you start an instant meeting or join a scheduled meeting by using the /zoom command directly in a Telegram chat or direct message.

This guide covers the following:

  • Installation.
  • Using the app.
  • Uninstalling.

Prerequisite

Installation

  1. Login to your Telegram account.
  2. Insert the bot's username (@zoombot) into Telegram search field or navigate to the bot by a link: https://t.me/zoombot.
  3. Click the Start button.

4. After clicking the button, you will receive an offer to go through authorization. Click Log In.

5. After clicking on the login button, a website will open with a request for rights.Give access to the application by clicking on "Authorize".

6. After successful authorization, you can start using the application.

Using the Zoom App on Telegram

Start a Zoom Meeting: Type /zoom to start meeting.
Note: This will use your default settings from your meeting settings and create a meeting in your Zoom Meeting list. The password is automatically generated and set in the join link. To set your password, use the zoom command /zoom 123, where 123 - your password.

Join a Zoom Meeting: Type /join <Meeting ID>

Add Zoom Telegram bot in any chat and work with it.

Uninstalling

From Zoom Account:

  • Login to your Zoom account and navigate to the Zoom Marketplace.
  • Search for Telegram and click the app or navigate to your authorized apps via Manage Apps and choose Slack.
  • Choose the Manage tab and click Uninstall.
  • Confirm the dialogue and click OK.

From Telegram Account:

  • Enter the dialogue with the bot.
  • Write a command /start if the Log Out button are not visible.
  • Click Log Out.
  • Right-click on the dialog and select delete history. Check the box next to stop the bot.
